The purpose of this web site is to provide teachers, educators and administrators access to the benefits and assets of projects funded through the Texas State Leadership Council each year. ( See"Closing the Gaps" Initiatives on the Home Page) This site also provides a permanent home for assets of all completed projects.

2008 Skill Standards-Based* Curriculum Development Incentive Awards – apply by Monday, October 22 for a $5,000 Perkins-funded incentive award to integrate skill standards* into curriculum and receive Texas Skill Standards Board (TSSB) Program Recognition.

Each completed project, on the List of Projects page, will link to a Project Summary Page. Summary pages contain a bulleted list briefly describing each project and provide a link to the official "project web site". Deliverables which may include curriculum and other project benefits, will be located on the "project web site".

“Closing the Gaps” Initiatives

The Texas State Leadership Council is an advisory group of experienced educators who work in tandum with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to support and develop initiatives that “Close the Gaps” in technical education. TSLC Council, 2007-08

The Texas State Leadership Council focuses on career and technology education improvement initiatives that have a statewide impact.

These initiatives take the form of projects that are funded and implemented each year. Current Projects 2007-08 (in development)

This site is coordinated by the TSLC and it's purpose is to make available the benefits and assets of these projects to teachers, educators, administrators and educational institutions.

The Texas State Leadership Council is funded through postsecondary Carl D. Perkins IV funds administered by the THECB. (Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006)
