Workforce Education Course Manual (WECM)

Project Information Summary

Most important project objective: Contribute to the currency and consistency of workforce courses throughout Texas. The WECM structures the statewide post-secondary technical course delivery system and provides currency and consistency in the skills and knowledge available to employers. This Project implements, maintains, and evaluates the process by which courses in the WECM are reviewed, new courses are added, and courses no longer needed are archived. In keeping with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board's (THECB's) direction of "Closing the Gaps", the WECM Project enables instructional specialists and business/industry reps to develop courses in emerging technologies for Texas so that Texans can remain competitive in the work environment.
