2008 Skill Standards-Based* Curriculum Development Incentive Awards – apply by Monday, October 22, 2007 for a $5,000 Perkins-funded incentive award to integrate skill standards into curriculum and receive Texas Skill Standards Board (TSSB) Program Recognition.

*Skill standards specify what a worker needs to know and be able to do on the job, as well as the level of performance required to demonstrate competence in that knowledge and skill. Standards are defined by occupational area and developed and validated by representatives of the occupation. Use of skill standards in curriculum means that students are being prepared with industry-defined skill and knowledge requirements.
